All electric products, including robots, can be integrated with machine controllers. YASKAWA Cockpit, installed in the edge computer, collects and analyzes information on each device, such as temperature, power consumption, and remaining service life, as well as other data. The status of the entire production line, status of order execution, progress in each process, and progress of each task within a process can be checked by collecting data in real time from the production site. Collected data can also be used to predict part failures.

Together with a standard Servopacks, a robot can be operated by an integrated controller that is a machine controller with RM100 robot module. It could construct a highly compatible system with peripheral servo axes.

A robot teaches itself various gripping methods through the deep learning method by recognizing objects with a camera mounted on its gripper tip and generating gripping motions for each object. No teaching is required for picking operations. The gripper can be compatible for various types of objects, which eliminates the need for designing and changing the gripper.

AC Drives monitor vibrations of a conveyer through a motor. Without using an external sensor, it works as a sensor and realizes a failure prediction such as conveyor chains tampering, scratches on conveyor belts, or deterioration of bearings by specifying conditions in a drive, including a threshold.

AC Drives enable to monitor an operational status of a fan in real time via a motor. Clogging in filters can be detected by setting conditions in the AC Drive, such as threshold, without the use of an external sensor. Maintenance costs can also be reduced.
