Installation Note:
The full installer of Ver.1.2.0 or later will install SAI Ver.1 into 'C:PaintToolSAI' in default settings. You can preserve brushes, textures, swatch and license certificate through which of following way.
- Overwrite Ver.1.2.0(or later) to Ver.1.1.0 folder by installer of update files only.
- Copy all folders, *.conf files, *.ssd files, *.slc file from Ver.1.1.0 folder to Ver.1.2.0(or later) folder.
CAUTION 1:
On Windows Vista or later, please do not install SAI Ver.1 into 'Program Files' folder because SAI Ver.1 may malfunction due to UAC.
CAUTION 2:
SAI Ver.1 does not support high DPI monitors, and Windows 10 does not apply DPI scaling for SAI Ver.1. If you use SAI Ver.1 with a high DPI monitor, you have to change the screen resolution less than about 1920x1200.
CAUTION 3:
WinTab drivers for N-trig pen tablet(e.g. The WinTab driver of Microsoft Surface) does not support WinTab API specification strictly. SAI Ver.1 does not work correctly with WinTab drivers for N-trig pen tablet in the default setting.
It may work with WinTab drivers for N-trig pen tablet if you change 'TabletMouseSimulation' to 1 from 0 in 'misc.ini' in SAI's program folder.
